Hi, I’m Meredith! I live in Sault Ste. Marie with my husband, two sons, and two cats who think they are dogs.
I write about:
(I also make this exact face a lot.)
Making good. I like to make good things. And I would like to be someone who’s made good.
It is always fun to put things together. From a good cup of coffee… to a side table to put it on. From leather coasters to a full basement renovation. Researching a sermon series or stage design.
My dad was a carpenter. My mother: a fantastic cook and seamstress. Making things is in my blood. I believe we are here to make good things and make things better. To make good because of the joy we have in being alive and the gifts and grace we have received. I like to share the joy I have in making.
Following Jesus. I am thirty-one years old and have been following Jesus most of my life. Experiencing his love, his forgiveness, and his strength is why I am who I am. God loved us and died to save us from our sins.
That truth – that I am loved no matter what, forgiven no matter what happens – is my entire world. I am a very imperfect person. Yet he is changing my mind, heart and actions into who he wants me to be.
On the work side of things, I am a pastor in a church with a master’s degree in theology. (I’m also a cardiac ultrasound technologist) So often I write about things from the perspective of a pastor or a theology student.
Finding simplicity. Instead of a cluttered life, I want to have the right priorities. And as a classic INTJ/ENTJ “Mastermind”/”Commander”… I’m always interested in efficiency!
I want to live a simple and meaningful life, without wasted time. So I like finding the easiest meals, most efficient workouts and automatic savings plans. I’m interested in strategic minimalism and buying quality products.
Anything that helps keep my priorities in order and saves precious time.
Thanks for reading!
